Pre-requisite: .Net Framework 2.0

1. Write Code Start with writing in notepad - and save the file with any name and extension e.g. simple TestFile.txt

        System.Console.WriteLine("Hello Wikia!");

2. Compile and Run. In order to compile, use c-sharp-compiler or csc.exe which is located by default on win xp at: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727

Open a command prompt (Start -> Run -> Cmd) Go (change directory - cd) to the folder where you saved the code file. Then run <path to csc> TestFile.txt e.g. C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\csc TestFile.txt

This will create a new file TestFile.exe Run the exe - simply by typing its name in command prompt.
